Peggy Ryland added (September 2013): "... Very interesting to this this old photograph of the chapel. In my senior year I went to a music festival held there (1961) comprising of Junior to Senior schools throughout the Forest. Juniors did percussion, whilst the older pupils played musical instruments and sang. Many hours of practice took place before the event. The festival was always held in the Summer. Seniors sat up above the organ. I remember swaying in the heat. No air con in those days. We got reprimanded by our teacher afterwards for loosening our ties! The basic structure from what is visual from the photograph is still the same. I am very pleased to see the building is still being used, and is still part of Cinderford's heritage".
