Car-powered machinery in a Forest of Dean factory.

Car-powered machinery
This is a photograph of how a local firm overcame the power cuts and the 'three day week' in 1974 by adapting a car to run one of their machines.
David Hale added "The photograph is in the Crompton Paper Mill, Church Road, Lydney, which was built on the site of the old Lydney Tinplate Works, which in turn was opposite the entrance to the Lydney loco shed".
